Tumbledown is...
Alan Collins hails from Farmington, Maine. He is married, has 6 children and works as a full-time computer technician for a local business. In his spare time, he likes to write music, jam with friends and play publicly from time to time.
Alan plays acoustic and electric rhythm guitars, miscellaneous percussion instruments, and sings lead and backing vocals. He also recorded, mixed and mastered the CD on his computer-based home recording studio.
Scott Swan hails from Jacksonville, Florida. He is married, has 2 children and works as a school teacher. He plays in a Jazz, Blues, R & B and Soul band out of Gainesville, Florida called the Lavell Kamma Band in his spare time and tries to make it to Maine as often as he can in the summer.
Scott plays acoustic and electric rhythm and lead guitars, Roland guitar synth, miscellaneous percussion instruments, and sings lead and backing vocals.
Additional Musicians
Jonathon Swan is Scott’s son. He attends high school in Jacksonville and plays in
a trio called the Irving Clements Quartet. They write and perform their own music and are releasing their own CD soon.
Jonathon plays acoustic rhythm guitar on many tracks on the CD and acoustic lead guitar as well on the song “Comfort Me”, which he wrote.
Jacob Smith lives in East Wilton, Maine where he recently graduated from Mt. Blue High School. While there he played drums in the Mt. Blue Jazz Band, viola in the Mt. Blue Orchestra and Franklin County Fiddlers, and sang in Mt. Blue Chorus and the Mt. Blue Voices acapella vocal group.
Jake plays all drum tracks on “Sail Away.”
Stephen Collins is Alan’s oldest son. He is attending BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, where he is majoring in Physics and minoring in Chemistry. In his spare time he tutors math, sings in a men’s choir and plays piano for his own enjoyment.
Stephen plays keyboards on the song “Something Inside.”
Kaitlyn Hall is attending BYU-Idaho in Rexburg, where she is majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Music. She also works with children with special needs. In her spare time she enjoys singing, which she has done publicly since she was 3 years old.
Kaitlyn sang backing vocals on most of the songs and helped with the vocal arrangements.
Tamara Collins is Alan’s oldest daughter. She lives in Farmington, Maine where she attends the University of Maine, majoring in Early Childhood Education.
Tamara sang backing vocals on most of the songs on the CD.
